Kinzer Sits Seventh in Spring Nationals Points Heading into Kentucky Double-Dip
(April 18, 2018) The Kinzer Motorsports team was back on the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series trail on April 13-14 in a doubleheader in the Volunteer State of Tennessee. On Friday night in a $5,000 to win battle at the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee, Brandon Kinzer grabbed the fourth transfer spot through his B-Main and later rolled off from the outside of the eighth row in the feature event. BK then felt like he had a racecar that could finish up inside of the top ten in the 40-lap affair, but eventually wound up a couple of spots shy of that mark in the twelfth position.

Action quickly turned to Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Saturday evening for the annual running of the 'Scott Sexton Memorial.' The Spring Nationals tour presided over the $10,052 to win special, which drew a strong field of competitors to the 4/10-mile speedplant. Brandon finished third in his loaded heat race prior to starting the 52-lap main event from the inside of the sixth row. In similar fashion to the night before, the Lexington, Kentucky native felt like he had a good car capable of running inside of the top ten, but circumstances throughout the race helped him to slip to thirteenth at the unfurling of the checkered flag. Brandon is currently seventh in the latest version of the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series point standings following the doubleheader weekend. Full results can be located online at

The Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals tour jumps right back into action this coming weekend (April 20-21) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Brandon will unload his Sweet-Bloomquist racecar on Friday night at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky and at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening. A $4,000 top prize will be on the line in the 6th Annual 'Spring Showdown' at Ponderosa, while the 42nd edition of the 'Spring 50' at Florence will boast a $5,000 winner's check.
