Brandon Kinzer in Action in $125k Dirt Late Model Dream
(June 9, 2019) The #18 team ventured to the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 6-8 for the 25th edition of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' Brandon Kinzer finished eighth in his heat race and sixth in his B-Main on Thursday night and ran ninth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main on Friday evening, which unfortunately kept him out of both $10,000 to win Twin 25 feature events. When Saturday rolled around at the "Big E," all eyes were fixated on capturing the $125,000 top prize in the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' BK wound up ninth in his loaded heat race and fifteenth in his B-Main and the Lexington, Kentucky driver was forced to watch the 100-lap headliner, which was won by Brandon Sheppard. Brandon, who sat out most of 2018 due to a lingering back injury, vied for the $10,000 top prize in the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series shootout at the Volunteer State venue. After starting the 50-lap headliner from the inside of the tenth row, the Lexington, Kentucky driver was able to move up three spots - despite carburetor issues - to land in the sixteenth finishing position.
